Claire & Ed’s wonderful country house wedding at Coombe Lodge
Coombe Lodge is a beautiful place to get married and we had such a great time on Friday at Claire & Ed’s wedding there. The house is stunning, inside and out, and even though the weather forecast predicted rain, the sun stayed out all afternoon which meant they could have their ceremony outside in the beautiful grounds! :)

We were so excited when shooting their portrait session, because we were the first wedding photographers to use the old wall and steps in the grounds of Coombe Lodge, which you can see above. This, until recently, had been completely covered up by brambles and was only just discovered before we arrived.
Not only did Claire look absolutely stunning yesterday, she is an incredibly talented person when it comes to baking! Yes she made their wedding cake… and I’m sure you can agree from seeing the photographs that she did an amazing job! When we first met Claire & Ed at their pre wedding shoot back in October last year, Claire told us about how she planned to make the wedding cake, and I (Soph) was so impressed as baking is really not my strong point (John’s the baker in our house), and the amount of time and effort she put into making it really paid off!
